Project Location : Thornbury, Near Bristol
"We would love a big kitchen/diner..." this was the only desire
the homeowners had.
Since the kitchen was at the front of the house, it presented a
few planning issues with adding extensions on the front/side.
After consultation with the local planning office, the design
was concluded and approved, providing the clients with exactly
what they wanted... a bigger kitchen/diner.

The extension blends seamlessly with the existing house, to such
as extend that the side elevation below has hardly a noticeable
change !
An opening in the former external wall leads to the high-ceiling
dining room, with roof window above to benefit from the
south-west facing aspect of the house, pouring light into the
dining space in the evening. |

A covered walkway leads you to the front door, with carved
timber posts providing a welcome break from the conventional
bricks 'n' mortar pillars. |
